Last week Monday I and Ademola Thompson aka SuperheroJT planned to consistently write articles for 7 days straight. Somehow this was just something I wanted to do consistently before the year ran out and I’m glad I was able to push through. But, I won’t lie, it wouldn’t have been easier without SuperheroJT being involved as a constant source of motivation and push. So I’m super grateful for him. Let’s take a look at what I wrote during the week, shall we?
All Articles Written
Here are the articles I wrote this past week and their links:
Day 3: Best JavaScript Resources
Day 5: New Features in JavaScript
Writing every article every day combined with work and NYSC activities was hard, I won’t lie. But it was worth the effort because I got to learn about new technologies and share them with you guys.
Why a Partner is Important
I could’ve done this on my own, but I’ve realised that you can find more strength with collaboration rather than accomplishing your goals in solitude. Plus, Ademola Thompson is an incredible technical writer who was always interested in every status post I made on Technical Writing. He was super interested in the field, so I was more inclined to ask him than anybody else, and I wasn’t surprised when he obliged to the request in such a short time. And even though he was sick and had to go to the hospital at some point, he still managed to write and release 5 articles which I think is impressive to do when you’re not at your best.
He’ll still have the last two published soon on his blog and I’m sure you all will love them so do check it out!
I do think if you want to encourage consistency, doing it with someone or having a partner would encourage you in times when you don’t feel like doing the work and in times when you have loss of strength. That’s why when you’re starting out on a project, a partner is important or as the Bible would put it in the book of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NLT):
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.”
Thank You!
I was also super encouraged by the likes I got on some of my posts. Best JavaScript Resources being the highest amongst them, made me smile and gave me a sense of accomplishment that you guys are reading these articles and gaining knowledge from them. It put a smile on this 18-year-old’s face. :)
Thank you again for joining me in during this week, and I’ll see you in the next article! ❤
P.S I have a podcast now called “Tech Chat with Sunkanmi” - a place where I share inspiring stories and insight into the lives of some amazing people in the tech space. A new episode is coming out soon and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
